What the heck is Feng Shui anyway?

What in the world is Feng Shui ? Pronounced “fung shway”, the textbook answer is as follows: Feng Shui is Wind and Water. Wind (Feng) and Water (Shui) are the only two naturally flowing Elements on Earth that have always influenced all living things.  After all, most living organisms are composed of water and breath (wind), humans being made up of 55-60% water. Feng Shui refers to these life-giving elements (wind and water) as chi. Chi, pronounced “chee”, has many definitions, the simplest being “the natural energy of the Universe.”   Feng Shui, as we know it, is the practice of designing our environments in harmony with the flow of chi. This flow enhances and changes one’s personal chi. Altering these interacting energies (adding cures) can assist in making improvements in our life. Feng Shui examines the relationship between you and your environment.  In other words, happy environments lead to happy people. Feng Shui gives us the tools to achieve harmony with our home, office and other surroundings.
